funky town

We had some friends over today so the kids wanted to have a dance party. Jay loves the song Funky Town and plays it over and over. Eli loves dancing to it and this is how he always dances.

Jay had his Kindergarten program last week. It was about what the kids want to be when they grow up. Jay chose a banker, of course. He even picked out a special tie from DI that was green like money. He had to memorize and say a little part. We are proud of him and he did a great job.

Jay's baseball season is wrapping up this week so I thought I'd post a couple of pictures of that too. We've had so much fun cheering for him and watching him get the hang of it this year.

Rex and Eli haven't had as much fun at the ball park as we have. Rex is usually bored after 10 minutes and Eli is usually covered in dirt or strapped in the stroller. But they're little troopers for hanging in there all season.

Eli is 1!

We had a fun day celebrating Eli's 1st birthday. We went to McDonald's, ate cake, opened some cool presents, and watched Tangled. Eli had fun but I think Jay and Rex enjoyed his birthday more than he did. Eli is walking all over the place and says a few words like mama, dada, and hi. His favorite thing, besides mama, is his bottle (we're not looking forward to breaking him of his habit). He loves his big brothers and he loves to be outside. We're so thankful for this little cutie. Happy Birthday Eli!

Visitors

We were lucky enough to have Troy and Whitney come stay with us a couple of weeks ago. The only thing we got pictures of is our excursion to Boulder City to ride the train. I'm sure it was the highlight of their trip. The kids thought it was lots of fun anyway. So here are a few pics and just a random one I found of Eli that's funny.

You guys will have to come back again so Rex will remeber your names!

All About Eli

Today is Eli's 9 month birthday so we thought we'd devote a post to him. Eli just got his first tooth a few days ago and he weighs about 20 lbs. He has cute red hair that pokes up like Incrediboy. He can't talk yet but he sure is noisy! The funniest thing is he makes a gargling noise all the time, especially when he is crying (which is almost all the time, ha ha). He can also pull himself up, stand for a few seconds at a time, and climb the stairs. He is a good baby (now that he sleeps through the night) and we sure do love him!

Thanksgiving Fun

We had lots of fun with Gwenny and Papa in Arizona for Thanksgiving. It was the first time in more than 2 years that the Lines side of the family has been all together and it was fun for the boys to play (and fight) with their cousins. Lindsay and I stayed with Lacy and Paul and Jay and Rex stayed at Gwenny and Papa's, along with Uncle Milo and Aunt Amy, who ended up with the short end of the stick when Uncle Milo had to clean up Jay's puke in the middle of the night. All in all we had a bunch of fun and are grateful to have survived with minimal injuries.

Jay loves playing "chuckers."

Jay and Rex are the best travelers. Now if we could only train Eli . . .

Not sure how I got roped into doing yardwork during our vacation.

Thanksgiving dinner (Jay took this picture).

Rexy loves to sit in Gwenny's Star Trek massage chair.

Jay is 6!

Jay had a fun 6th birthday. He got some cool new money for his collection and a telescope. He is looking forward to his party with his friends this weekend. Happy Birthday Jayboy!

Our baby goat

Eli's new favorite thing to do is chew on paper. He rolls around all over the place trying find it and eat it. There is always plenty of paper to find thanks to his big brothers.

Jay and Rex have been spending lots of time outside lately now that it is cooling down. Their favorite game is "Taxi". They ride around with each other on this little thing for hours on end. What sweet brothers (most of the time)

Happy Birthday Chad!

We celebrated Chad's 33rd birthday last night. We went to a nice dinner without the kids (thanks Amanda!) and then had cake with boys. I'm so grateful for Chad and for the good husband and dad he is. He works so hard for our family and we couldn't be prouder!

In other news...Eli is 5 months old today. He was almost 15 lbs at his well check this week. He's had his first few bites of baby food and so far has done really well with it. He's also been sleeping through the night lately so we hope he keeps it up!

Rex is 3!

For Rex's birthday we went to LV Mini Gran Prix. It's a place with some little kid rides and go karts. We had lots of fun and Rex even drove a go kart all by himself. He could barely reach the gas pedal but he figured it out and was the cutest boy ever! Too bad we didn't get a picture. Rex got some really fun presents including a new bike. He already rides it like a pro.

Rexy

Rex had his first day of preschool. He was so excited to go to school, but he was a little disappointed when he realized his school was not Jay's kindergarten. He has been asking me about going to school since last year and I'd always tell him he would go when he was bigger. Today he said "I'm bigger today!" and then showed me his strong muscles. This little guy is so cute and funny. He makes me laugh everyday.

Jay's First Day of Kindergarten

Our little Jay started school today. He was so good. He was very excited and went right in without any hesitation. Yay! I had a harder time saying goodbye than he did. On our walk home Rex told me he missed Jayboy...thank goodness it's only half-day!

Funny kids...Rex hardly ever wears his shirt anymore.

The boys finally got to use/break the umbrellas they've had for a few months.

The airplane the boys made for Eli. They had fun taking him on rides.

I'm not too sure Eli had fun though.

Lacy and my mom came to visit. The camera died so we only got a few pictures. This is Eli and his cousin Aubrey.

The kids with Aubrey and Erik.

Jay and Gwenny.

I'm so glad my mom felt good enough to make the trip with Lacy. We went to the children's museum, got our hair done (thanks Lacy!), settled crying babies, refereed fighting boys, and almost lost a kid at Circus Circus. We had tons of fun!
