Spring break, Easter and Eli's birthday

Over spring break the kids had a lemonade stand and made $25! They treated themselves to ice cream for all their hard work. We also went to a drive in movie with friends, visited a few parks, and went to the library a few times. It was nice to just relax for a week. We had a nice Easter and got to enjoy the day with friends. Eli also turned 4 and got a new scooter, a smoker like his daddy, and a cool fire truck. He is such a sweetheart. I love having him as my sidekick everyday. He is very quiet and shy. Hopefully next year when he goes to preschool he will make some new friends and come out of his shell a little. We love him so much!

Thanksgiving in UT

We are thankful we got to spend the holiday weekend in UT this year. We really don't see our extended family often enough. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed being around grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We also attended the funeral of a cousin and were reminded how important families are and how thankful we are to be an eternal family. Here are some pics from our weekend. Thanks to Kyle for taking a lot of these pictures.

Jay's birthday and Halloween

For Jay's 9th birthday we went bowling. The bowling alley had a fun halloween night with cosmic bowling, a little haunted house, and candy for the kids. We brought Jay's best friend Porter along and had a great time. Jay's favorite present was a new fish he named Slosh.
For Halloween Jay was Harry Potter, Rex was Jaden the red power ranger, and Eli was spider man. The kids had parties at school, we did our ward trunk or treat and went we trick or treating around our neighborhood. We got way too much candy but the kids loved it.

Birthdays, broken arms, and merit badges

Rex turned 6 on Sept 18 but we just had his party with his friends last night. It was a box car drive-in movie party. Rex had lots of fun. For Chad's birthday we had some friends come over for the BYU game. The game was crappy but we had lots of fun with good friends and good BBQ. We failed to get a picture. Even though he's an old man he's still as handsome as ever.
Eli broke his arm while unsupervised in the back yard. Way to go mom! We didn't even think it was hurt very bad so we didn't take him in to the doctor for a couple of days. He's one tough boy and not much of a whiner I guess. He'll have his cast for 3 weeks and he loves to show it off.
Jay just earned his wolf badge. We went on a little trip to city hall to complete his final requirement last week. We are very proud of him.

Back to school and Labor Day

The kids started school last week. Rex is in morning kindergarten and Jay is in 3rd grade. So far they are having fun and love their teachers. Eli just started a joy school co-op with some other kids in the ward. He'll have fun getting to go to "school" like his brothers and enjoy playing with friends.
We spent Labor Day weekend in Oceanside, CA. We all had a great time. Jay and Rex had lots of fun on the boogie board and Eli had lots of fun in the sand (he was a little freaked out by the waves).
